Methodology

Source documents

Where an insurer publishes a full policy wording on its Singapore corporate website, we ingest that PDF as the primary source. Where only a proposal form or brochure is published, we work from that document but mark the insurer's status accordingly so readers know the comparison is partial.

Extraction

PDFs are converted to Markdown and structured policy facts are extracted to a per-vertical schema. Each fact is anchored to the source document so a reader can verify the original wording.

Clause search

Wording text is chunked and embedded for semantic clause search across all ingested policies, so questions like "what does the Chubb commercial general liability wording say about subcontractor exclusions" can be answered with verbatim wording excerpts and citations.

Editorial

Editorial copy on this site is written by the Company Insurance SG editorial team. We do not name reviewers (medical, legal or financial) without their explicit written consent. We do not publish customer ratings, superlative-ranking claims or other unverifiable rankings in editorial copy.

Updates

Insurance wordings change at renewal cycle. We re-ingest published wordings at least annually, and immediately upon any insurer notification of a material change. Where Singapore regulation changes (for example, MAS notices, MOM circulars, ACRA guidance), we update affected pages within five working days.
